PRODUCER OF SYSTEM I N THE terms of Hollywood, Dr. William A. Gore, Superintend- 1 ent of Schools in Hempstead, is the producer of producers. In other words, he works as the co-ordinating force of directing seven principals under him. Each demands a different handling, and each school has a slightly different organization and methods of produc- tion. Dr. Gore’s task requires infinite wisdom and constant atten- tion to detail. Dr. Gore was graduated from Merion High School in Illinois. I le then attended the Universities of Illinois, Columbia, Harvard, and New York. Since 1932 Dr. Gore has been an essential part of I lemp- stead and its schools. When the job of keeping-all-going-smoothly becomes heavy. Dr. Gore slips away to his home and there paints to his heart’s content.
