ew Exp by Hillard Salas As the 1982-83 school year began, 459 new faces roamed Hempstead's halls in search of their classes. When the upper class- man started their year, cries of dumb frosh filled the air as the frosh jumped for clean-up bells or got lost. The first pep assembly came and a temporary vow of silence went into effect for the freshmen that soon ended as they became as loud as the other classes.
