EMERSON KAUFFMAN Principal ERNEST GERHART Assistant Principal ADMINISTRATION AND PROGRESS IS THEIR MAIN CCNCERN Miss Barron, secretary ot our high school oftice, checks typed material as Mrs. Woodburn, secretary for Mr. Kauftman, receives a message on the telephone concerning a future assemblv. nl I2 Dear Seniors: Life is full of changes and the ability to adlust to them is the key to a useful and happy lite. Such a life cannot be measured in wealth, accumulated honors received, or power attain- ed. Rather it is evaluated in terms of services rendered, abilities developed and contributions 'nade to all mankind. Education is something that continues as long as you live. Each new experience brings with it new knowledge. Each mistake, if used properly, becomes the 'foundation for new successes. Each success should provide the inspiration to seek higher goals. We regret to see your days at Hempfield and and will long remember the Class of 1960. At the same time, we extend to you our sincerest best wishes for the future. It is our hope that the lessons learned here will provide you with the equipment necessary tor that future. Sincerely yours, F. EMERSON KAUFFMAN,
