WE managed or COUYSC Then 1943 ro'ler1 in Fred was still leading the class as presi dent assisted by Marion Bickford as YICQ president Olga Whelp ley as secretary and Mark Wemett as treasurer We had some bright ideas about earnmff money that year But the war stopped us when we tried to sell candy Well it was all right while it lasted And who will ever forget Pohshinv Papa 9 S m Baley s performance is un forgetable Our ranks 'again becam thinned bv the leavmg of John T1 e Walter Doble and Robert Leverty And lastly and sadlv we arrive at our senior year 44 We had an eventful year A sue ssful supper followed by a smash hit comedy Girl Shy We wished bon yoyage to Principal Mr Yackel to see him leave But Uncle Sam had a priority Then Uncle Sam called Mark Wemett into the V 12 program We wondered how the class would fare wth the business head of the class racking his br m in navv matters But somehow we managed When Mark president of the class left Sam Baley vice president took over as sisted by Nlaiy Wemett treasurer and Jack Becker secretary Of course 1egents made us serious 'rore serious than we had ever been Somehow you havent really lived until you've survlved re gents What n exp-erxence And lastly ye head for graduation in patriotic nayles We should like to linger oyer this part of our school career DSC31549 were really and truly proud to be worthy of wearing those caps 'md gowns and fingering that coveted hard earned diploma which is our passport ror a fling at fx future which we have only begun to rrold A .
