CLASS HISTORY As we leaf through the pages of our school Life we find that many interesting things have happened to us, the Class of '57. On a September morning in 1945 we first opened the cover to the strange book called Education. Those of us who were in the original class and are now Seniors are Dennis Clark, Kenneth Horstman, Gary Hyland, Twyla Lawson, Robert Reindl, Gayle Price, and Lawrence Roes. As the pages turned through the years, many classmates were gained and lost. On page 1954, forty-six new freshmen were enrolled in Hemingford High. They were Darwin Annen, Gene Appleyard, Roylae Appleyard, Ted Baker, Theo Bedient, Darryl Bergfield, Bill Carrell, Dell Clark, Dennis Clark, George Clark, Lulu Creighton, Darlot Curtis, Myrna Elliott, Dennis Fosket, William Gasseling, Dorothy Hiltz, Judy Grabher, Frances Gordon, Kenneth Horstman, Gary Hyland, Donald Kissler, Richard Kohrman, Twyla Lawson, Darrell Morriss, Clarence Noon, Jean Osborn, Larry Parker, Dorothy Parkin, Gayle Price, Richard Prochazka, Robert Reindl, Fred Robbins, Lawrence Roes, Clara Rowley, Mabel Schumacher, Darrell Smith, Alan Taylor, Jerry Teansky, Marilyn Tinsley, Verla Turek, Lynn Ustohal, Dale Wood, and Carol Wyland. The officers were Bill Carrell, President; Lynn Ustohal, Vice President; Dale Wood, Secretary; Verla Turek, Treasurer; Donald Kissler, News Reporter; and Miss Reed was our sponsor. Another page was turned and during our Sophomore year we lost Ted Baker, Lulu Creigh- ton, Myrna Elliott, Dorothy Hiltz, Dorothy Parkin, Fred Robbins; Paul Snyder was gained. Our officers this year were Dale Wood, President; Judy Grabher, Vice President; Roylae Appleyard, Secretary; Janice Bussen, Treasurer; and Mrs. Johnson, our sponsor. Our Junior year opened a new chapter in our book. Our prom theme was Stairway to the Stars and our class play was A Remarkable Incident at Carson Corners. We lost George Clark, Mabel Schumacher, Alan Taylor, and Carol Wyland. Returning was Dorothy Parkin. Heading the class was Dennis Clark, President; Paul Snyder, Vice Presi- dent; Dennis Fosket, Secretary; Lynn Ustohal, Treasurer; and Gary Hyland, News Re- porter. Our sponsor was Mr. Ruzick. This, the final chapter of our school Life, as Seniors, will be a very memorable year in our young lives. The leaders of our Senior year are Lynn Ustohal, President; Verla Turek, Vice President; Clara Rowley, Secretary; Marilyn Tinsley, Treasurer; Darwin Annen, News Reporter; and Mrs. Johnson, our sponsor. In the pages of the future we’re looking forward to an enjoyable Class Play, Career Day, and Commencement. In closing, our last chapter of our school Life, we wish success to the Seniors of ’58 and sincere thanks to the faculty and our parents for their guidance, patience, and understanding.
