As subjects we had algebra, English, biology, shop, home economics and physical education. Our sponsor, Mrs. Barlow, was kept busy guid- ing us through this year. Our first freshman class party was a skating party and the second was a weiner roast at Wilson Park. Upon the return to our sophomore year, with Mrs. Faubion as our sponsor, we missed the faces of Mildred Kinser, Carrie Kinser, Virgal Bartlett, Virgil Thomas, George Bundy, Onetta Todd, and Marjorie Chambers, but welcomed Letta Mae White, Martha Fisher and Clarence Norman. We enjoyed parties at Thornton Park and Wilson Park. September, 1948, found twenty-two juniors with in U. S. History, English, mechanical drawing, g1rl's typing. We had lost one member, Martha Fisher, who hard in our magazine sales and managed to take the there, we visited the Lanier home and walked across their sponsor working hard home-making, and beginning is now married. We worked Seniors to Madison. While the Ohio River Bridge into Kentucky. on our return trip we stopped off at Clifty Falls State Park where we ate a most welcome supper. After reloading, we started our long trip back to H. H. S. As it was now dark, the boys had stopped shooting paper wads, and a few snores could be heard as some of our 'Early-to-Bedders' caught a few winks of sleep. The fall of 1949 found the same twenty-two Seniors in their seats in the assembly by the windows. This year Mr. East fpoor guy, was chosen to be our sponsor. This year we have the responsibility of publishing the school paper, making the annual and all such things involving hard work. Monday, October 24, was set aside for the annual junior-senior trip. We started about 8:30 and our first stop was at Huntingburg where we saw the different processes of pottery making. Our next stop was at Santa Claus, Indiana, where we saw Santa and his reindeer. We later journeyed for two hours in cold, dark Wyandotte Cave, but cold and dark as it was, we loved it. Our next stop was in Corydon, the first capital of Indiana, where we ate our supper. After eating, we boarded the bus and started back home, arriving about 10:50. As all paper wad shooting had been prohibited this year, we enjoyed the trip m ch more. Our first class party was at the Jackson County State Forest. As we look back over the last four years, we've done our work lin our own slow wayj, and had our fun, and we wish to thank the teac through our classes so we could be members of the gradua o hers for helping us class f 1950 ' , 523 --M...-.- Y., ,, Y V ,

,.:E:::b .Q . Q' We, the class of '50, wish to will some of our most prized abilities and char- acteristics to our beloved classmates. Cherish these gifts always----you may not receive their like again. lFortunately1D I, Raymond Dodds, will my ability to wiggle my ears so as to entertain the rest of the class during the 'dull and boring hours to Dean Blackwell. ., I, Pearl East, will my many boyfriends to Carolyn Baker. I hope you can get along with all of them better than I did. I, B111 Ford, will my wolflsh ways to Richard Turner. Beware of girls with the right hooks. I, George Fountain, will my ability to have a steady girlfriend and be privi- liged to sit with her during study periods to Everett Hunter. I, Marjorie Fountain, will my ability to say the wrong things at the right time' to Marjorie Chambers. Marge, it is rather embarrassing sometimes. I, Carolyn Harrell, will my ability to attend all ball games to Joan Johnson. The cheering section must not weaken. I, Clovis Hearth, will my cute little grin to Martha Trogdcn. I find that it attracts the opposite sex much better than that long, loud giggle. I, Rodney Hilderbrand, will my ability to sleep sitting up to Floyd Boron. Pleasant dreams next year, Floyd. I, Myron Hudson, will six inches of my legs to Peggy Todd, provided she makes good use of them. I, Ivan Hunter, will my ability to get along with Misa Clark to Bill Brown. I, Dwight Jones, will my reserved manner to Whimpy larlott, in order that the seniors of '51 may have some peace and quiet. I, Laverne Klnser, will my ability to wear two rings during my senior year to Evelyn Hunter. You have to be a smooth talker, Doll. I, Wilma lurphy, will my curly hair to Colleen Allen. Now you won't have to wear it in pin curls to school so often, Colleen. I, Clarence Icrman, will my large ears to my school bus driver, Herman Smith, for stop signs. I, Ruth Owens, will my eyebrow tweezers to Vernice Deckard. Yours must be worn out by now, Vernice. I, Irvin Sherrill, will ly sleeping chair in government class to Keith lcrman in hopes that he uses it to the best of his ability. I, Josephine Tanksley, will my long, loud whistle to Leora Stanconbe. It is a good way to attract boys long distance. I, Dean Todd, have nothing to will, lost it all in a crap game. I, June Turner, will my quietness to Helen and Jeanne Bartlett. Even a little bit might help. I, Lorene White, will my pills to Shirley Todd so she won't be such a pain in the neck to the class and teachers next year.
