FOREWORD As we meditate upon the reflection of images in a mirror or a pool, we may discern a symbolism representing the past, the present, and the future. Looking backward, we may recall both pleasant days and dire ones—days when we profited from past experiences, days when we set our goals for new ones. In the present, we see ourselves as pupils striving for recognition, studying earnestly that our future success will be assured, believing with Lincoln. MI will study and get ready, and maybe the chance will come The future only God can know, but we, as the builders of that future, have some inkling of its nature. We know we shall be faced with new horizons. Seniors shall confront the world. Underclassmen will face the challenge and the joys of the new consolidated school. How we meet the days and years of our lives will depend upon us. We, the Class of 1961, sincerely hope this edition of TIGER ECHOES will convey you through the past, the present, and the future with the accompaniment of many pleasant memories.
