oeolcatlon annualxivenottlie members of the Seniqr Chas of 1952, dedicafe mis 0 a person, but to an institution th t esteem. Let this institution speak: a we hold m high I Am h6ll.I6l2 hlGh school Please stop a moment! Your time is shorter than mine, but 1et's get acquainted. Yes, I am curious, too curious, perhapsg but who cares. First of all, you see me standing here as a structure of cold steel and mortar and brick and wood and cementg yet I live as surely as you do, and have feeling that runs deep within my structure. I have known many secrets, felt many heartaches, enjoyed immense moments of happiness and laughed and cried with mixed emotions. You have had the same experiences, haven't you? So, with only a few exceptions, we are very much alike. Red blood flows through your bodies--it is your fountain of life. You are my blood--you are one of the millions of corpuscles that make up the stream of life within me. To every corner of my being you go. You seek every crevice within me, and for this I thank you. All sections of me wish to remain alive, so please flow through me freely, and keep my every organ busy. Treat me kindly, though, for just as you can easily damage yourself or be damaged by others, I can be damaged and decayed beyond repair. Your life isn't as long as mine. Those following you must help me to live. Don't treat me so carelessly that they will not want me to continue to live. I love life ! I want to live a long time yet and be an inspiration to an ever increasing group of young boys and girls like you. Help me to age slowly and grow old beautifully. I have a firm faith that you will. A pnayen ion peace by William M. Justice God, give us men of faith in this dark hour-- Strong faith in thee and in their fellow men t I I s And in the better world thou hast ordainedg A 5 ' Far-visioned men who view through blackest clouds The shining rainbows of eternal peace, Courageous men whose hope-stars rise and shine Like roses on the breasts of Alpine snows, Brave men who speak with prophet voices and Who dare to write with angel-guided hands, Wise men who love to walk and talk with thee And ever keep thine image in their hearts And always view a lovely garden with Its flowing river and its trees of life, Benevolent men with love more powerful far Than all the atom bombs that can be built-- Love with a human heart and human hands That labor endlessly, all for love's sake, Love that appreciates the royal worth Of every human soul and longs to see Eternal justice reign in every clime. And, God, increase the number of such men Until, Thy glory fills all lands, through them, And thine almighty power, through them, brings peace william M Justice Sweet, everlasting peace, to all mankind. Principal Published in the Grade Teacher - September 1951 William M. Justice Vision? Yes! How far? Beyond the immense density of life. Into the realm of the mental horizon, Far out beyond the tides of the intellectual sea. Yesl Beyond the islands of wisdom, love and peace, Passing through the channels of understanding--. On and on his vision extends, Beyond all time, beyond all space. . . Such is our beloved principal and friend. . . .I vowed that I would dedicate my powers To thee and thine--have I not kept the vow? With beating heart and streaming eyes, even now I call the phantoms of a thousand hours Each from his voiceless grave: they have in visioned bowers Of studious zeal or love's delight Outwatched with me the envious night-- They knew that never joy illumed my brow Unlinked with hope that thou wouldst free This world from its dark slavery ......
