Splish, Splosh he 1987 Senior Splosh was extremely successful for several reasons. Over 60 awards and scholarships were presented including appointments to all three military acadamies. Thirty-seven students were presented with the Presidential Fitness Award . After the presentation of awards, students were rallied with the Battle of the Bands . Social Studies teachers Vance Allred, Jen- Speaking Out- Graduate Rex Stem speaks to the Senior Splash crowd while Mr. Allred looks on. nifer Copley, Marty Vork and Ken Lousen recalled their sixties daze and showed the seniors what they were like in high school. €nglish teachers Clizabeth Graham, Dana Melieux, and Harry Gadbow also recalled their daze. UJhile singing songs like Proud Mary and Light My Fire the teachers passed around a fake joint. A few senior groups lip-synced to some popular songs to wrap up the evening. • rolled oround again lost spring for those Missoula High School juniors and seniors that took port in the Rmerican Heritage Tour. The students traveled to LUoshington D.C., New Vork City, ond Boston. Un- fortunately, because of the lock of time and organization, they were unable to visit Phllldelphia to see the Liberty Bell. Junior Jessica UJalker thought the pace of the whole trip was very fast because the itinerary was packed with all sorts of sights In the €ast for the students to visit; but was overall, “very much worth it. Senior James Barta agreed, “My feet were exhausted the whole Visits included; the Jef- ferson, UJoshington, and Lincoln memorials. Times Square, the Smithsonian Institute, and various eastern colleges. Senior Jenny Spencer most en- joyed “the free time In pNew Vork which she spent shopping in Bloom- ingdole's and other large department stores.

Ready, Aim, fire- Graduate David Archibald shows off his pool skills at the Senior All-Nite party. vide a place for seniors to soberly celebrate their graduation. Any senior in Missoula County was welcome to attend. This year, seniors danced to the Bop-a-Dips and the Coup R's. They also watched movies, played video games, poker and pool. Many door prizes were given away, including a dorm refrigerator, stereo, and television sets.
