Looking back over the years, we find that this year,, more than any other, has been one of OPPORTUNITY. OPPORTUNITY FOR STUDY — Unlimited sources for the further- ment of education are found at Missoula County High School. A fine, well-trained faculty, comfor- table study halls, a modern library, and spacious classrooms, make this the most important part of school life. OPPORTUNITY IN MUSIC — Wide and varied interests in music can be satisfied in any of the musical organizations: Band, Or- chestra, Chorus, and many ensem- bles. OPPORTUNITY IN SPORTS — Not only is there the opportunity to take part in major sports at M. C.H.S. such as, Football, Basket- ball, and Wrestling, but there is the chance to develop sportsman- ship in the Intramural program and minor sports which also are of value to the school. OPPORTUNITY THROUGH SERVICE — By participating in the activities of tne many active clubs and service organizations in the school, countless opportunities are available to help others as well as making many lasting friends. This is the school of OPPOR- TUNITY and, 1961, the year of OPPORTUNITY. To this we, the co-editors of the 1961 Bitterroot, dedicate our book. Jane Nelson Vicki Curtis 1
