firfrewvrd Helix is not one thing. It is the students, the activities, the adminis- tration, and the campus organizations all united under the name of He- lix. The absence of only one part of the whole Helix would make the school incomplete. It is hoped that this year's theme of Silhouettes on Campusl' will bring together the memories of all the aspects of He- lix during the past year. 3

Derivation l l There is one teacher at Helix who has influenced the Senior Class more than any other teacher. In- dividual seniors have expressed the following opinions about her: She has helped to prepare us better for college. She is an individualist. She is Very strict, yet her classes are interesting and provide a chance for learn- ing. She is dedicated to our education. She is an excellent teacher with a good sense of humor. She treats her students as adults. She helps us to think for ourselves. She is one of the most interesting teachers we have ever had. She has earned the respect df the students through her hard tests and terrific personality. She is a good talker. She has been the most help to the students in giving advice and in assisting in school work. She is an inspiration to students. For these and many unexpressed reasons the Senior Class wishes to dedicate the 1960 TARTAN to Miss Miriam Moore. We only wish there were more teachers like her.
