Mentor Maynard gave his all tothe team using to thefutmost his knowledge of conditioning and his tricky plays. The running of juniors Karl Jordan, Sonny Beyer, plus the passingrof Henry Bonilla gives us much hope for next year. The kicking of Frank Morgan saved the retreating Highland. ,Eleven from embarassment many times. The solid wall of Dick Gardner, Stan Davies, Bernie Svalstad, Norm Crawford, Brian Herald, Bob Merada and Ed Stemen stopped many of the opposing teams forward drives. Leo Kennison, Don Ahrensberg, Wayne Sweetwood, and Jim Ethridge made their hard tackles felt by the invading foes. Although' only chalking up one win against seven losses, Helix's green wave showed to advantage in most of their tilts this year. ln fact, half of the games lost could have gone either way, the outcome not being discernable until the last gun had sounded.
