Or also of our teachers Who so often become our friends? Teachers and Homework, Laughs and groans. Projects and problems, ' That rattled our bones. But also a counselor. And often ' Den Mother , ' That you could know as a friend. And trust like a brother. A doctor ' s mistake he can bury, A lawyer always gets paid, BUT a teacher ' s reward Is the person they ' ve made. T C .Tom Judge FACULTY- ' PKJMJPACS MeSSA( S Through the efforts of Mrs. Zueike and the yearbook staff, this year ' s Re- flections has sought to place emphasis on creativity, a subject often men- tioned in educational circles. To be creative is to open one ' s mind to new approaches in solving problems, using one ' s imagination in expression, work tasks and communication. Most of you people, the students, have been conditioned all of your lives — by parents, teachers, clergy, and others — to respond to situations in a manner that is predictable, acceptable, and structured. This has a tendency to create indivi- duals who have not had the opportunity to foster creativity nor to look at things without the restrictions placed upon them by society. As you survey the contents of this yearbook, we hope that it brings you fond memories of the school year 1980-1981. Years from now, as you look back to this time in your life, you should be able to say, 1 have had the structure, habit, and self-discipline to become a constructive member of society, and was afforded the freedom to develop the open-mindedness, imagination, and independence to do something truly creative.
