DEDICATIUN We, the Eighth Grade Graduating Class of i955, Ecorse Township School District Number Seven, are proud to dedicate this Yearbook to Mrs. Mildred Shelters whom we hold in very high esteem and affection. We feel that the opportunities which we have had For education are due greatly to her efforts. Mrs. 'Mildred Shelters was born in Maple Rapids, Michigan and remained in that village until her graduation from High School. Her education was received at University of Michigan, New York Univer- sity, Northwestern University at Evanston, Ill., and at Western Michigan College of Education at Kalamazoo, where she earned her degree. She began her teaching career in the rural schools of Clinton, then taught successively in Corunna, Dearborn, Breckenridge, Watervliet and Wayne Coun- ty - all Michigan communities. She came to Wayne County in i939 to teach at Heintzen's two room school on Fordline. This is Mrs. Shelters fourteenth year in the Ecorse Number Seven District where she acted as classroom teacher, principal, and superintendent.
