uCASTLE FEVERh . he Strahlenburg Castle in Schriesheim proved to be the perfect setting for the 1984-85 Homecoming Dance on November 3. This special day began with the Heidelberg football game against the Manheim uison. At 12:3OJROTC, Varsity Cheerleaders. Band. Lionettes Drill Team. Pep Club and the Homecoming .ttendants circled the football field. The horseshoe was formed by the Varsity Football Team Cheerleaders 'nd Lionettes. Here. the attendants were crowned by C01. Boremann, community commander. and escorted y members 0fthe football team. TheLions continued their record ofexcellence and massacred Mannheim ith a 57-6 victory.Thatevenir1g.everyone danced the night away as the HCosmiC Connection Disc0'1fr0m ainz provided the pr0per tunes. At 10:00 pm. the coronation began, Kris Speranza was crowned the 1984- '5 Homecoming Queen Susan Sirbaugh was the Senior attendant. Laura Spink was the junior attendant e my Taylor was the Sephomore attendant, and Lenora Peppers was the Freshman attendant. WEtVE GOT SPIRIT! Yes we do! Wetve got spirit - how ,bout you?! r . . was the major cry for the LIONS this year during football games and other events. No matter what the event HHS Students always showed lOOrZ; 0ftheir pride. Both Class and school spirit was shown during Spirit week; the week before Home- coming. On Monday the Students dressed up as nerdy as possible in plaid and polyester. Tuesday brought in the tourists and the Senior Beach Bums. Wednesday everybody showed their Class spirit by dressing up in themes made by the Classes. The freshman dressed up as babies and the Sophov w mores as Hobos. The juniors trans- formed into their favorite Olympic Stars, while the Seniors gOt Trashyh and designed their own costumes out of trashbags. No matter what or where the event was the Lions always showed off their LION PRIDE! Clockwise: Pam Danielski and Scotti Place go undercover!
