From the first day of school the students of HHS have taken an exceptionally large amount of pride in being Heidelberg Lions. Participating in activities has always been a popular tradition. There seemed to be a Club for everyone, as at least 40 of HHS students were involved in some extra-curricular activity. This year proved to be one of newfounded spirit. The epitome of our winning tradition was evident in the tremen- dous amount of support given to our sports teams. Raw talent molded into a skillful team by dedicated coaches has fostered many victories for our athletic teams. The essential element to success is people. Over the years there have been numerous students who have gone the extra mile and achieved honors for themselves and school. Heidelberg has a reputation as one of the best schools in Europe, and the students and faculty work hard every year to keep up the tradition. 4 Introduc n'on Ii lb Top; The proud flag of the United States of America seems to mean even more to us when we are Over- seas.
