W tGeffen Recordsi By Checkers Well, well, he finally hit the big one! Deservedly so. If you've heard Hagar's I Can't Drive 55 , you probably have the album. If you have the album and a driver's license, well, who knows? Opening up his assault is the hit single I Can't Drive 55 and Sammy continues throughout with Sluggers like the title track, VOA , which sounds like an invitation' to war, and Two Sides Of Love. It took Hagar a lot of years of hard work to get this single, but he's finally come up with a hard hitting vinyl cut. I don't think he's driving 55 anymore. IiiiiiiiiiiiiIiiiiliiiiiliiiii TO OUR READERS: I think you should appre- ciate three freshmen girls who make sure there was a news- paper this issue. It has been difficult this year to produce a newpaper because it was not a class project i.e. journal- ism; because we had no room in which to type or lay out; and because few students wanted to expand their after school hours. The Army Distribution Center lost a large percentage of its staff which pushed our deadlines up, with no guaran- tee of meeting our publication dates. Under all this stress, Christina Tompkins, and Liz Martell, and Michelle Thearle stuck it out to do their best with the situations. They deserve commendation for their faithhhilnessr and efforts. Thank you also Mrs. Gutierrez and her two typing students Christal Shelton and Alexandra Ackerman for coming to aid? I hope next year's adviser has the cooperation and the space needed to do the paper, and a staff as dedicated as these three girls. Thanks, girls, for a job well done! Ms. Masters iilliIIiliiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiilili THREE PEOPLE MAKE A NEWSPAPER? If you check the staff box in this issue of the Etudent Prints, you'll notice that there are three people on the staff, and all three are edi- tors. With three people on the newspaper staff, its pretty hard to put out a decent paper for approximately 900 people. But bear with us. We're doing the best we can. Hopefully next year there will be more interest, or even better, the journalism class will be started up again. iliIIIiliiiifiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii Special thanks to sophomore Scott Hogan who helped type the senior wills. We could not have done it without him. iiiiiiiiiIiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiil STUDENT PRINTS STAFF COeEditors:Liz Martell Christina Tompkins Feature EditorzMichele Thearle The Student Prints is an extracurricular activity. We would especially like to take this opportunity to thank Ms. Nancy Masters, our sponsor. Without her support there would not have been a school paper this year. The Student Prints Staff
