Rough nl Ready Guys! he Men's Varsity Lions started this years season off setting standards of excellence with their first fight-to-the-finish game against K-Town with a score of 1 to 1. This years' team worked as a unit and it is diffi- cult to name the outstanding players. With our offense pushing out and our defense pushing back, we couldn't be beat! From the start out Lions practiced daily for hours and offered each other positive encourage- ment and advice to enable the team to roar through an exciting season. With only four returning players Coach Flowers strove to cover the fundamentals of the game, along with endurance and speed development helping the budding new team members. The hours of practice provided a learning exper- ience for all team members, who in turn, proved that our Lions of Heidelberg are still Kings of the Mountain.
