Wrestlers take it to the mat Strength. quickness. and endurance are three quali- ties every HHS wrestler has an abundance of. Sever- al of the last year's wrestlers returned to the team and gave it a strong backbone. Wrestlers were given individual recognition through the Wrestler 0f the Week program for their creditable achievements. Many went to the States over Christmas where the competition was of a higher degree. They learned a great deal about bOth their sport and their team- mates. Being a wrestler at Heidelberg High is defi- nitely something to be proud of, and this years team demonstrated teamwork, pride, and spirit throughout their winning season. 1' ; Top: Punishing his opponent Steve Conroy controls the match. MenTs Varsity Roars Through the Season The Heidelberg Lions continued the tradution of excel- lence in MenTs Varsity Basketball. The team had halfof its personnel returning with six hex members Four of these new members were new to the school, The Lions were successful due to the expert coaching of Wes Sisson, and the players' individual talents Hard practices that improved playersT skills were a part of the team's success.
