A NEW BEGINNING he start of a new school year usually makes everyone a little nervous. Memoriz- ing schedules and locker combinations, getting to know the teachers, and meeting new people can be frustrating at times, but this years fresha men seemed to handle these situations with a minimum of difficulties. After the first hassling week, they were constantly on the go e in the halls between Classes, heading for team tryouts, or trying to make it to club meetings on time. Their Spirit was evident from the beginning. Al- though they were a bit quiet at the outset of the first pep rally, their shyness soon wore off as they began to get into the swing of things. They also b0ught and wore spirit ribbons and supported the Lions at the foorball games. So, despite the traditional prejudices against freshmen, the Class of '88 fit in well with the resr ofthe student body and enjoyed an interesting year at HHS. Waving enthusiastically, Eric Heinen greets the phOtogra- pher with a big grin as Natasha Dunnam silently wishes she was someplace far, far away As Lisa Glad makes a diligent attempt to do her work, Bret Peterson discusses an urgent matter with Ann Farmer, Smiling prettily are freshman class officers Margie Armijo, Nora Peppers, Tracey Dionne, and Erica Card. 128 Linderclassmen
