PURTSAID Port Said is located at the Medi- terranean entrance to the Suez Canal being noted for its uncomfortably warm weather and lingering Bum Boats. lts population is composed primarily of French, Greeks, and Egyptians, who derive their living pri- marily from the trancient tourists and em- ployees of the Suez Canal Company. We of the Heermann will remem- ber our two visits only too well, of course, not forgetting our introduction to Stella -- ---met possibly at the Splendid or Blue- bird , amidst other establishments of Egyp- tian hospitality. lt was here also that we staged our Softball Tournament, with the officers and chiefs team edging out the hard slugging R Division for the championship Many of us purchased useful Camel Saddles while others were content with more useful buys, such as a Cl P1 Fez.
