Karen Barnes has excelled in secretar- ial skills during her twelve years in Hector High School. She is President of Beta Club, First Vice-President of FHA, a member of FTA and FBLA. From the offices she has held, she has shown that she has leadership ability to go with her other skills. Karen is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Junior Warren and the wife of Louie Barnes. Karen and Louie live at Tilley. One of the most promising artists to attend Hector High School is Becky Fulmer. In addition to her artistic abil- ity, she has displayed a great amount of leadership ability for she is Secre- tary and Treasurer of Beta Club, Sec- retary of FBLA, Treasurer of FHA, and attended Girl's State. Becky is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lester Fulmer. Her family lives in Hector. Dennis Condley is the typical leader that any class would be glad to have in their midst. Dennis likes to play bas- ketball and football as he has demon- strated by being on both teams for the past three years. In addition, he likes to hunt and fish. Dennis is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Condley. He and his family live near Appleton. J2 Leadership with a capital L is exempli- fied in Melody Helton. She serves her sophomore class as president. This year's FHA'ers elected her to serve as president for next year. She also serves on the Student Council, works in FTA, works in FCA, and plays bas- ketball. Melody is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dwayne Helton. She and her family live near Appleton. Melody plans to attend Arkansas Tech and The School of Health and Related Pro- fessions in Little Rock. Mark Bell is everyone's choice for all- around example of the ideal student. He is active with the basketball and football teams, in Beta Club, in FHA, and is President-elect of the Student Council for the coming year. Mark is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Bell. He and his family live near Tilly. Mark is unsure of his plans for the future, but whatever he does he will be success- ful. Christy Palmer has been a great addi- tion to our student body. She has been involved in Beta Club, FTA, and a cheerleader. She represented the tenth grade in the Football Homecoming and was Beta Club Sweetheart in the Sweetheart Pageant. Christy and her mother, Joan Sanders live near Rus- sellville. Christy's ambition is to be a lawyer to work with juvenals and work with troubled young adults. 33 1. 12th Grade-Mary Lou Humphrey and Tim Bell. 2. 11th Grade-Teresa Pack and Jeff Duncan. 3.10th Grade-Charlotte Branch and Jeff Petty. 4. 9th Grade-Paula Cook and Scotty Chisum. 5. 8th Grade-Sherry Condley and Billy Chisum. 6. 7th Grade-Michelle Garrison and Roger Coffman. 7. Jody's heart may belong to Hec tor. but it doesn t look as if th remainder does 69 With leaders and sponsors like these, the 1984 seniors will continue to go far. Since Randy Davis is the Stu- dent Council Representative, we all know things have to look up for the student body. Mrs. Margaret Freyal- denhoven is one of the newest additions to our faculty. She may be the newest and the smallest, but great things come in small packages. Although Mrs. Joan Sanders has been at Hector for a number of years, she adds new and enthusiastic ideas to help us in our every undertaking. Coach Dean Felkins adds the crowning touch to our senior sponsors with his dry sense of humor. How could any group go wrong with Mark Proctor as class president? Palmer T Mark Lynn Proctor Dana John Reno Daron Robertson Randall Eugene Standridge Rebecca Gail Tryon Margaret A. Turney Congratulations go to TIM BELL for being elected class favorite for the second year in a row. Tim is totally involved in school life. He has been active in football for the past four years and was an outstanding star in every game. He represented his class as student council representative his freshman and sophomore years. He was class officer for those two years also. For the past two years, he has attended the Career Center, working in the machine shop. As you can see, Tim is a well-liked, responsible young man who will go far. Tim is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Bell. To the casual observer, CHRIS WARREN is a standout in many ways. Her flirtatious ways and witty remarks cause her to have many friends and admirers. Usually she can be found in the middle of any crowd entertaining everyone who will listen. Her athletic ability has been displayed through her participation on the cheerleading squad. Her high level of energy keeps her on the go. We expect to hear and see good things from Chris in the future. Chris is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. D. L. Warren. She has lived all of her life near Tilly and is proud of it. To watch WILLIAM HILL, one sees a very dedicated young man who was honored by his classmates as the Most Studious male in the senior class. In addition to being a diligent student, William has been involved in FCA, Football, Basketball, and Track. He is a well-rounded student who can and does attain everything he chooses to try. He can be found behind the scene helping any student who needs it. William will go far in any field he chooses to enter. At the present time, he is interested in accounting or computer work. William is the son of Mr. and Mrs. David Hill. 78 Did MARY LOU HUMPHREY speak to you today? Yes, she did if she was here. Mary Lou was once again honored by her classmates with being elected class favorite, friendliest, and the girl with the Best Personality. Because of her personality and friendly manner, she is naturally a class favorite. These honors are not bestowed lightly. You name it and Mary Lou has been involved in it: FCA, FBLA, FHA, FTA, Cheerleading, Choir, Basketball, Track, Student Council, and Staff. In addition, she has combined a successful marriage with all of her other activities. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James McAlister. When RANDALL PALMER talks, people listen to hear what his latest witty remark will be. This wittiness goes hand in hand with his school spirit as was recognized by other seniors as they chose him to exemplify both. Randall always has some comment to make about everything as can be attested to by everyone who knows him. This wittiness has helped him to make friends easily when put into new school situations like those provided at the Career Center. Randall is the son of Mr. and Mrs. George Palmer. He and his family live near Scottsville. Randall had attended Hector Schools for all of his schooling. KIM FREEMAN is one of those rare people who could go through a tornado and still look neat, trim, and well-dressed. Not only is Kim well-dressed but she also has that certain something that causes heads to turn as she walks by. This certain something caused her classmates to name her the Best Dressed girl in the senior class. Again her classmates selected her their favorite in her junior year. This desire for neatness did not keep her from being a cheerleader and playing basketball. WATCH OUT BOYS, she's got that something! Kim is the daughter of Mrs. Francis Hassel. She has attended Hector Schools for the past six years. 79 His classmates knew what they were doing when they elected BRUCE LINK the Biggest Flirt, Friendliest, and the boy with the Best Personality. He is out to flirt with every girl in school, but with his friendly ways and personality, the girl never knows if he is just being friendly or is really flirting with her. He is a joy to watch as he tries to dazzle everyone of the opposite sex. He is usually able to do so. Bruce has had the opportunity to try his flirtatious manner with many people because of his participation in FBLA, Football, Basketball, Track, Junior Play, and Senior Play. Watch out girls, he is out to break some hearts. Bruce is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Link. Artistically inclined is the best description of BECKY FULMER. She can and will go a long way with her talent as is recognized by her classmates, for they elected her Most Studious and Most Likely to Succeed. Her natural ability, ready smile, and dedication to any task she is working on will give her a jump on everyone else. Becky is one of those rare people who can be studious and conscientious and be involved in activities as is displayed in her participation in FBLA, FHA, FTA, Basketball, Beta Club, Girls State, Junior Play, and Senior Play. Becky is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lester Fulmer. She has attended the Hector Schools for the past twelve years. Mr. Involved and Busy is DAVID OWENS. During his high school career, he has been involved in FCA, FBLA, Football, Basketball, Baseball, Track, Student Council, Boys State, Class President, Junior Play, and Senior Play. In addition, he was honored by his classmates by being selected the Most Likely to Succeed and Best Dressed. David has the unique ability to make the most complicated task seem simple and easy. Being best dressed or well-dressed and neat is the best way to describe his every day appeareance at school. This habit should serve him well as he pursues his work for the Lord as one of His ministers. David is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Owens. 80 Juniors Julia Adams Donna Blackford Sheila Blair Brenda Chisum Lawonna Chisum Mae Dean Churchill Jimmy Coffman Glen Collins Melissa Collins Dennis Condley Danny Crow Jeff Duncan Tim Felkins Cheryl Freeman Holly Freeman Amee Frew Jennifer Gruber Lisa Harmon Richie Helton David Hudson Sean Hudson Gary Jones Paul Kendrick Lynn Laymon Lori Lee Cindy Molloy Gina Muncy Teresa Pack Amanda Parrish Greg Proctor Cynthia Rackley JaNiece Rackley Trish Rackley Roxanne Ramsey David Rudder Angie Skinner Corine Tesch Angela Tryon Tammy Wilson 83 Sophomores Jennifer Ballard Johnny Beavers Mark Bell Charlotte Branch Nancy Branch Jamie Bridges Stephen Burchard Bobby Cantrell Rodney Cantrell Melinda Chisum Sandra Chisum Carolyn Chronister Mark Cochran Susan Coffman Clyde Collins Rhonda Duvall Gene Pillion Ava Ford Ashley Fountain Chester Frew Charlette Fulmer Jody Garrison Tammy Gillies Tammy Coates Tammy Goodyear 84 Tammy Gregory Jody Hamilton Kevin Hays Melody Helton Lisa Holt Wesley Jordan Roger Langford Randy Lay Wendy Lay Danny Laymon Tommy Lombardi Roger Martin Carla McCuin Holly McKellar Claudine Melton Becky Menge Keith Morris John Muncy Gerard Pack Christie Palmer Jeff Petty Dolen Renfro Dana Robertson Jeff Romines Roger Standridge Kathy Voss Tammy Warren Stacey Willcut Greg Williams Stacey Wooten 85 Freshmen Cecil Adams Stacy Barton Evelyn Bates Chris Beavers Kenny Bowden Danny Box Lori Burch Barbara Burchard Tonia Campbell Steve Cantrell Scotty Chisum Tim Chisum David Chronister Paula Cook Kenneth Duncan Jeremy Ford Liz Freeman Danny Frew Tony Garrison Kenny Gray Tony Haley Janie Harris Donna Hemmer Kelly Henke Lisa Hill No Photo Available Photo Not Available ■ Mike Huffman Randy Hull Wendell Humphrey Jon Lawrence Randy Mathis Sandra McKinney Shellie Menge Shawna Myers Elaine Pruitt Tanya Reddell April Riley Ted Roe Mary Rudder Stanley Sackman Terry Skinner Carla Standridge Gena Steed Norma Story Julia Taylor Shawn Thomas Shelly Thurman Melissa Turner Jimmy Turney Michael Vincent Ronda Warren Wendy Whybark Lesa Wolfe Paul Newport 87 Eighth Gina Bell Lamont Brown Eddie Coffman Sherri Condley Stewart Condley Billy Chisum Roger Chisum Tammy Derryberry Carla Duncan Chanda Freeman Shelby Freeman Shonda Garrison Glen Gillies Neva Hart J.D.
