Yes, F. H. A. members enjoy initiation, senior members that is. Pledges go through all the trials the senior members dream up upon threat of having to push a peanut across the gym floor at an assembly. If as they say having to suffer for something makes you appreciate it more. These pledges will certainly appreciate F.H.A. The top picture of an F. H. A. pledge show- ing the graceful way to exit a building is rumored to be Rhonda Freeman, although Rhonda denies ever having seen that per- son in the picture. Rhonda Palmer in the lower left corner kneels before a senior member as she recites the pledge. Rhonda felt like the worst of the initia- tion is not being able to talk to boys all day. F. H. A. president, Pam Kirk, pictured on the opposite page talking to Vickey Stan- dridge, secretary, enjoyed her responsibili- ties this year. As president, Pam and F. H. A. sponsor, Mrs. Carolyn Bennett, have the huge task of planning and putting on the annual Alumni Banquet which hosts all of the graduates and friends of Hector High School the Saturday before Christmas each year. This year Jansey Hays was elected 1st Vice-president of this F. H. A. Federation at the Federation meeting at Russellville High School. Our girls also attended the State Con- vention in Little Rock. 17
