The Grade School Homecoming was sponsored by the F.T.A. again this year. For Saint Valentine's Day, the club set up a Valentine Post Office. The student's mailed Valentines that said anything from I love you to You stink. The club also had a Valentine Party, with each club member inviting a friend. They played games, had refreshments, and danced to records. March 31, 1978, the club went to Arkadelphia for F.T.A. State Convention. Debbie Hybner, above right, ran for state reporter. Even though she didn't win the office, it was a good experience for Debbie. She has been elected F.T.A. president for 1978-79. 12

Standing are Stephney Housley, Kathy Drewry Henry (Editor), Rita Warren (Business Manager), Tina Fountain, Oebbie Watson, and Randy Turner (Photographer). Members of the Quill and Scroll are responsible for the bi-weekly school newspaper, Cat Tales, and the annual, the Wildcat. Kathy Drewry Henry as editor of the annual worked many extra hours to put together the Golden Years edition of the Wildcat. Mrs. Owens and Kathy work out a picture order as part of their responsibilities. 14
