WWW For the past twelve years our class has struggled to reach 1ts goal graduat1on Now as semors hav1ng reached that goal we can lookback on these dozen years and recall the many unforgettable experlences that we have had durxng that tlme In 1936 fxfteen of us trudged to the httle red school on the lullto start on our road to knowledge Janet Betty Norr1s John P1eph0 Mary Kle1nman Margaret Bob Thurner Ahce Mary Gldley Jeanne Wahl Bernadell Martha Bruce Joan Jean Morrow and Norma started thelr f1rst year under M1ss Wahl s guxdance Th1s IS a very loyal group of f1rst graders that have stuck together to the end We can be proud of th1s be g1nrung class The next year under the ausprces of Mrs Lmg we welcomed Earl from Gary and Bernxce from Chlcago znto our group The h1ghl1ght of th1s year was John Pzepho tr1pp1ng the teacher Un1ntent1onally f course Into the thxrd grade' Here w1th Mrs McM1llen for our 1nstructor our learnlng was more complex w1thmu1t1pl1cat1on tables and mus1c lessons St1ll chmblng we started the fourth grade 1n the new school bu1ld1ng Even though there wasn t a f1re escape to cl1mb we found the h1lls a very good place to play cowboy and Ind1ans Harry John Arend Jo1ned our class th1s year from I..ou1sv1lle Mr Scott and M1ss Nolan were our teachers As fxfth graders we had Mlss Nolan for our teacher agaln Th1S was the f1rst year we partxcxpated ln the Jack tourney In the slxth grade with Mr Scott teachlng us the fundamentals of fractlons and grammar we prepared to advance to the h1gh school s1de We all were undec1ded as to whether we would hke lt over there or not because we wouldn t have recess On to the seventh grade and we re on the hmgh school srde Chang1ng classes and locker comblnatlons bothered us at f1rst but we caught on fast New members th1s year were Betty Bruns from Kouts and Dxck Coffman from Gr1ff1th Our last year 1njun1or h1gh Our class was 1ncreased th1S yearby Myron Bxrky from Kouts and June Slager from Chxcago H1gh school here we come' Belng w1ll1ng to learn we found lrfe 1n the freshman class very exlcrtng and much dlfferent espec1ally1n1t1at1on Soc1al hours were the cluef attract1on Wxth the add1t1on of Pete Ger1cke from Lew Wallace and Shxrley Stokes from Hobart we advanced to the sophomore class Th1s 1S the f1rst year we had taken d1fferent subjects from our fellow classmates On to the year of theJun1or and Sen1or Prom class r1ngs and the Jumor play Jeanne Metcalf from Chlcago became a member of our l1ttle group th1s year The year' The one we ve been str1v1ng for for so long Twenty seven proud and happy sen1ors that have reached thelr goal Two new faces thxs year were Don Sherman and Faye I..1tw1ller from Boone Grove and Mason Clty Ill1no1s respectxvely As the largest class ever to graduate from Hebron H1gh School we would l1ke to thank all the teachers and frlends who have made these years the happ1est and dearest of our l1V8S 14 I I 1 1 1 o 1 ' 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 . - 1 - .. . 1 ' - 1 1 a o .C ,o -7 - 1 0 1 c 1 u 1 . . u .n 1 . u I .- a 4 o u 1 u 1 , . 1 a 1 4 I . . . 1 o 1 u Q o a , . , u a 1 u n 1 a 4 l .. - n o 1 1 1 0 1 1
