His happy smile and friendly ways will always be remembered. GOD'S BETTER JUDGMENT” He was enemy to none. Friend to all. He’d do anything for you. Whether large or small. He always had a smile for you. No matter where he went. And he was always haopy. No matter how his time was spent. You know we’re going to miss him. As the years cone and go; But we know hefs in a place. Where only happiness flows. Don't say it’s all over. Parents and dear friends; For his sorrows are over. While ours will just begin. He's gone from us. But don’t start to weep; Because he isnft dead. He’s only asleep. So, to his parents and his friends. Keep this thought living in your heart; Someday we 11 meet in heaven, ’Where we’ll never have to part. And yet it’s for the best So as we go, we want to leave, A wish for your happiness. Wefll miss you when we are gone. And we hope you111 miss us too; We donft like to think we've failed. To make friends with all of you. Our teachers have all been wonderful. To us through all these years; And we 11 remember their kindness and pati And keep them as memories so dear. To you, the faculty, we mean no more. Than the class that left last year; But to us it will open a door of new life. To a future with nothing to fear. We leave you now in parting, Thof in memories you 11 remain; And we think-not what we have lost. But rather what we will gain. By Harry Bennett and Norris Priest Gosh, how fast time passes. It seems as though it was only yester- day when we entered school in the fall of forty-one. The years went flying by and soon we entered the seventh grade with thirty-seven mem- bers. We were very much excited and after much confusion, we learned the right class rooms. We graduated from the eighth grade with twenty- three members. After three months vacation we came back as Freshmen. Just think we were actually in high school now and did we feel proud 1 We lost a few of our members to Dan Cupid, but we still had fun. Maxine McHatton was elected as our President and we were off to a big start. We had Mi88 Joan Henn as our sponsor. Then we were silly sophomores, with Mrs. 0. B. Gish as our sponsor. We elected that year as our chief executive Hugh Hazelwood and he did a very good Job, too. Finally, we were Juniors with twenty members. Mrs. Gish was our sponsor again and we began to make plans for our annual, which we would put out in our senior year. We sponsored a Valentine Dance that year at which we crowned the School Queen and King. Calvin Boswell was our President and with cooperation from everyone we had a fine year together, Now we are seniors, with Mrs. Annie S. Barnes as our sponsor. For the great task as President this year, and it is a great one, we elected Harry Bennett. We started our year with twenty members, but lost one of our dearest members. Sonny Boswell, in an accident on November 10, 1952. We sold ads to help put out our annual. It took the work of the whole class to make it a success. We had many happy days working together on our annual. Even though we say we are happy that our school days are about over, we will always remember our dear old days and all the fun we had at H. H. S. By: Lula Belle Newman Charles McLevain Dear Donnie, Today Is May 29, 1956, and many things have happened slnoe we were seniors at Hebhardsvllle High School. After I was through with my house work and didn't have anything to do, I decided to take a look once again at our dear old year book. And whose do you think was the first picture I saw? Hone other than youre. so I thought I would like to have a nice little chat with you , about our classmates of H.H.S. Much to my surprise when I was shopping X saw Maxine MoHatton and she finally got the man she wanted, and they are very happy with their two children. Maxine told me that Norris Priest Is doing fine with his em- balming at Tapp Funeral Home. Which Is very close to Rlsley Clothing Center . Dorris purchased this store from his Uncle. I also hear that Buddy Newman has finally got married and Is still selling furniture, and Is also coaching Basketball on the side. I learned from Buddy that Ernest Gibson Is now serving In the U. S. Navy and Patsy Is very well satisfied with the deal, since he Is home once a month. I was very happy that Mary Jo Allgood has finally settled down with her one and only, and is very pleased with her apartment on Main Street, which side we do not know. Lula Belle Bryant Newman Is a very happy person because she has Tell at home with her again. Sherry Parrish Is teaching school In Tennessee and enjoys her work. Elbert Pinkston Is majoring In Agriculture at the Peabody College where Calvin Boswell Is head president. Merle Crawford Is coaching basketball at Spottsvllle, Ky., and Carol lambert goes to every game although she is tired after her days work at her restaurant. 1 saw Charles McLevain the other day and he had a good looking girl on his arm, Charles Is not as bashful as he was at Hebbardsvllle Patricia Nunley Is doing fine as stewardess with the Eastern Air Lines. Now and then she sees a good looking Man. Hugh Hazelwood who la with the U.S. Army, 3ays he sees Patricia quite often. Harry Bennett Is now studying at Harvard College to become a lawyer but Is still at his old method as he was at H.H.3., Flnd'em, fool'em, forget 'em. Jimmy English is now owner of the Hepderson Speedway In which he has finished hi 3 hot rod that he was building while attending H.H.3. I was very much pleased to hear that you are now pumping oil near the Powell Nunley farm. Let us wish each one of our former classmates the best of luck and success through the coming years.
