Class Motto The Word American Ends With “I Can.” Flower Talisman Rose Colors Green and White Class Poem To the old school house, we ride each morn. And jump off the bus at the toot of the horn. We go to the study hall and take our seats. Then to home room, and classes we meet. We go to classes, and argue much. For we are just naturally a contrary bunch. We have class meetings and fight them out. And “Professor” runs us off, with a fruffy shout. Talk about us, we’re truly tough. All our teachers, they’re just a bluff. They preach, they yell, they huff, and get mad. While we just sit there looking sad. When we get out of school this year, It may sound funny but we'll shed a tear. It makes no difference how bad we get. We find a place for sadness yet. Our old school days are almost o’er. To Hebbardsville High, we'll come no more. We’ve set our hearts on some other goal. For day by day,, we are growing old. We know not what our future will be, We may go to college, and get a degree. Though our class is small, you'll admit we’re nifty. Class Will We, the seniors of Hebbardsville High School, realizing that our days in this institution are drawing to an end, and being of fairly sound mind (after these long, twelve years) do will and bequeath these, our dearest possessions to our teachers and under classmen. I, Pansy Hazelwood, do will and bequeath my bashful ways and tidy manners to Laura Williams. I, Carolyn Gates, do will and bequeath my calm attitude toward boys to Thelma Hazelwood. I, Mildred Bennett, do will and bequeath my love for beautiful dresses to Martha Galloway. I, Robert Claycomb, do will and bequeath my studious and dignified ways to Buddy Newman. I, Charles Smith, do will and bequeath my quiet ways to Ronald Goldsberry. I, Raymond Howard, do will and bequeath my quietness and good manners to Jimmy Boswell. I, Edward Hazelwood, do will and bequeath my short , blond, stubby hair and heavy beard to Ernest Wilson. To the juniors, we do will our dignified seats on the right side of the auditorium, hoping that they will occupy them more fully. To Miss Grant, we do will and bequeath a new, large typing room that is well heated and lighted. To Mrs. Babb, we do will and bequeath a new set of Pilgrims' Progess, because a new set will surely be needed in another two years. To Miss Henn, we do will and bequeath a well equipped home economics room. To Miss Briscoe, we do will and bequeath a new set of history books so that she may instruct the students in the future. To Mr. Paff, we do will and bequeath a sound-proof band room and a worry- proof skin to meet his many music problems. To Mr. Riddle, we do will and bequeath an even better basketball team next year-- with at least two 6 foot 10 inch players. To Mr. Lindenberg, our principal, we do will and bequeath a large, modern, well-equipped office, and an efficient secretary.
