CLASS PROPHECY By Bettye Joe Watson Hebbardsville, Ky., Route Two Dear Tommie, Today is May 30 once again, and so much has happened since we were Seniors at Hebbardsville School, I thought I would like to have a friendly chat with you once again. I was very glad to learn that you will be coming home from the Air Corps soon and I know that someone else will be too. I ran into Jeanette Boswell yesterday in Henderson, and she is still working at Belk-Henderson Store. She was telling me about Adell Reeder, remember Ma Brady ? She is living with Jeanette's family and very happy too. Paul Bennett is doing fine for himself as he has gone in business with his Dad and has built a little house in Zion for Jeanie. Cecelia Klaffer is living on Elm St. in Henderson. I saw her in Penny's the other afternoon, and she was in a hurry to get home and get supper for someone . Helen Sinkhom is working at the First National Bank in Henderson, and has a cute little apartment on First St. Ever now and then I see her hanging on to the arm of a good looking young man. Edward Chick Overton has bought a motorcycle and he and his cousin at present are touring the country. The last time I heard from them they were in Sunny California . Hugh Baskett is teaching Agriculture at the University of Kentucky. Also coaching basketball on the side. Lots of good looking teachers teach there too. Arnold Hazelwood is pleading the cases of unfortunate people before the courts in New York City. He is still seen at every basketball game pos- sible for him to attend. Grace Wilson is in Evansville working as Secretary to a well known doctor. She informs me that she likes her work very much. Mildred Bassett is now living on a farm just outside of Henderson. Cynthia has a little playmate, and everything is ok with them. I almost forgot to mention that I now have a special program over WGBF and I would like for you to listen in some time. I really like to sing so this does not seem like work to me. Good luck to you Tommie, and I hope that all our lives are filled with happiness and that we will never forget each other. Your former Classmate, Bettye Joe Watson

CLASS HISTORY By Arnold Hazelwood Nineteen-thirty-four we entered school with twelve long years ahead of us. Our memories bring us back to the days of the first grade when we studied hard learning to read and write. We had some happy times that year and met several friends. The grades passed by quickly with a few joining our class each year. Then we found ourselves in Junior High with 43 mem- bers in our class. We were very active and studied hard. We entered high school with 32 members in our class. In our Freshman and Sophomore years we spent much of our time in our studies, but we still found time to have our fun. During these years several members dropped out of our class. We entered our Junior year with seventeen members in our class. With Miss Newman as our sponsor we began to get started. Our Junior Play, Everybody's Getting Married , was a great suc- cess. Our greatest thrill of the year came when we took the Sen- iors on a trip to Mammoth Cave and Nashville. Our year was full of fun and happiness due to the guidance of Miss Newman. Now as Seniors of Nineteen-forty-seven we are gathered together as a class for the last time with our friends and teachers. We have had a grand time at old Hebbardsville High, and feel that we owe a lot to our teachers and friends for all they have done for us in preparing us for the School of Life. Arnold Hazelwood
