The main function of the Future Farmers of America is to train boys in Farm work, manage- ment, and leadership. Most of the boys know how farm work is done when they enroll. The management of a farm is taught from enrollment until graduation, but development of leadership is stressed. When a freshman enrolls, he looks to experienced, older boys for guidance, then in turn he is looked to for guidance by boys who enroll the following year. Some of the boys after graduation keep their name on the roll. This enables them to join in the activities of the chapter. There are over 300, O00 boys enrolled in the F .F.A. Oklahoma contributes 16, 000 to this num- ber. The Heavener Chapter proudly presents its sa members to this great organization. The members wish to express their gratitude and heartfelt thanks to their advisor, Mr. Thorn- ton, for his understanding and friendly advice.
