Primary teacher in the Heavener Schools for the past nineteen years. As six year olds, we started to school With fear and trembling the general rule From Mothers and home we feared to part, But knew to school we needs must start. A friendly teacher we met in the hall, She had a kind word for one and all, She invited us in with a friendly pal, Assured us it mattered not where we sat. She made us so welcome, we felt at home Were never the least bit tempted to roam. Our three R's we leamed and scarcely knew How much we'd mastered the whole year through Of subject matter and the 'give and take' Which life demands if success we make. If with gum in our mouth she caught us A friendly chat was in order for us, And to this day if with gum we're caught flat She reproves us, saying, I didn't teach you that. These words of praise were just to get ready To dedicate this Annual to our dear MISS BETTY a S an gf x- . - - ' 'le 'Xing'-. . X X-. yy z'x ADMIN!
