And so we smoothly passed the first league and on into the second. We were still loyal and industrious even though many of our members were going into service and war work so that our number had greatly decreased. Then the laamching upon the third league. We were more earnest then because wer had brought the realization of what the privilege of attending a public school in a democracy like ours really means. Each did his duty, individually and as a class, to support fthe war drives and benefits. Then, suddenly, the war was over and I We happily and triumphantly began the last league of our voyage by welcoming back among us those who had gone to war. We. the seniors of '46, stately and dignified, approach the end of our voyage where we launch upon a greater one. Success , we are coming ea rly to meet your halfway. May we always keep our lives pure and true to is highest of ideals and meet each blue dey with a will to do our best beater. Surely then every cloud will have a silver lining.
