Slap Day Due to the bad weather we have not yet gone on our skxp day but Iw1ll wr1te thls on the s1ghts we hope to see on our Journey We the Semors of Heaton I-hgh School of 1951 wxll start on our smp day some nxce clay 1n May and travel south By afternoon we w1ll be ln South Dakota and then the fun w1ll begln The f1rst town at whlch we w1ll stop w1ll be Gettysburg then to Plerre Here we w1ll see the cap1to1 Soldler s and Satlor s lVlemor1al Hall and the lndlan Museum The next stop of mterest w11l be Hot Sprmgs and a tour through the federal san1tar1um for d1sabled soldlers Eye and Mount Rushmore Memorlal are the two places we are eagerly waltmg to see At R p1d Clty we w1ll see the Stratosphere Bowl where the f1rst stratosphere fhght mn the Uruted States was made Deadwood Lead and Spearfxsh w1ll be our last hmstormcal stops ln South Dakota Back to North Dakota we w11l drwe through the Badlands to Nledora and v1s1t DeNlore s h1stor1cal home and from there we w1ll be homeward bound e wlll spend some excltlng nlghts at movles and IH hotels but when we return home I know we wxll all be very txref' and happy want to gxve our thanks LD advance to the people who were pres ent at our carn1val for makmg th1s tmp posslble a trmp that we know we are goxng to enjoy Joyce Helden 10 . . . . , on Custer State Park will be a sight we shall never forget.
