MUSEUM HE taxidermists, Boy Scouts, photography club, science department, art club, and many others have contributed various kinds of articles to our museum. Watkins Morris and Martin Dunville, directed by our principal, Mr. Crisp, are our two leading taxidermists. They are doing very competent and efficient work, and their skill has been unmatched by anyone in the mounting of many specimen. Our museum has improved considerably over the past and has developed into quite a quaint and old-fashion, as well as modern place of interest. Many old relics, implements of Civil and Revolutionary War, antiques, and specimen con- sisting of red and gray fox, owls, eagles, and many other animals and fowls are brought in each year by students, and prepared for display. 61

CAFETERIA URING its second year of existence, the cafeteria has again proved itself a remarkable suc- cess. Under the supervision of Mr. Leon Smith, business manager, Mrs. Leon Smith, overseer of the cafeteria work, Mr. John W. Koon, manager of school farm, and Miss Metta Mathis, who plans the menus, the cafeteria has made a profit of approximately 55350.00 this year. The cafeteria and school farm are cooperative through the use of fresh vegetables produced on the farm and consumed by the cafeteria. The garbage from the cafeteria is an inexpensive means of furnishing food for the hogs. Not only are vegetables furnished by the farm, but also the nece ssar y milk supply needed in cooking and drinking is furnished by Old Dot the school cow. About forty girls prepare and serve the meals to approximately 100 students. These girls ac- quire a complete knowledge of the proper plan- ning of foods, as well as actual experience that may prove very beneficial in later life. The boys Who care for and gather the vegetables acquire a great deal of experience and knowledge in that particular field. - +72 .V ,V 3 -.- . 1--Q. ,- L., , -5.,-,,.:. . 4. ,y,G1x,, 1 .. 5 ,,.,, .rg - -- Mp. ,, ,.
