BASKETBALL QUEEN Robed in a white gown and a golden train, Miss Carolyn Tanner made n stunning picture as queen of the Basketball Team. She was attended by Misses Doris Marley and Sherrill Lee Gunn, who were dressed in gold gowns to carry out the school colors. Little Ann Merriman boie the crown of gold to the throne. The Coronation took place at the Heath-Barlow game when the boys wore their new suits of gold and black for the first time on the home floor.

During these years of his superintcndency the physical plants of each school in McCracken County have been modernized. This includes both white and colored schools. There are three modern Manual Art Shops under, construction at present. Our present commodious building, of which we are very proud, was erected the second year Mr. Meredith came to Mc- Cracken County.
