Under the efficient leadership of Mr. James Brookshire, our coach, the Heath Pirates had a successful season. Duc to the untiring efforts of Mr. Brookshire the Pirates won the District Tournament an,l went into the semi-finals of the Regional Tournament. Mr. Brookshire is noted for the tactfulness in which he handles his boys. Wfheher the Pirates are winning or losing he is always in high spirits. Mr. Brookshire is looking forward to a bright season with his Pirates next year. RATES just another practice session ungler the watch- ful eye of Coach jimmie',. Diligent practice- one of the reasons why the team captured the District Tournament. joseph Harting- joe , a Junior this year, has proved that he is a nifty', ball player. He is a sure shot and one can always count on Joe. Fighting every minute, Joe never quits. He will be a valuable man to have next year. jim Ed Manning-A gift sent to Heath from Mayfield. He made a swell player as forward and closed the sea- son with a bang at the Dis- trict Tournament. jim Ed., we are expecting great things of you next year. Robert Hines - This is Rab's first year on the varsity squad, but he played hard in every game he en- tered as if he had been a regular member for four years. Hines, being one of the best shots on the entire squad, proved valuable as a reserve and will be greatly missed next year. Howard Ross - Rooster,' was a great offensive player and proved to be a wonder- ful defensive man for the squad. Though not a regular, he was an excellent substi- tute. Ross was very cool un- der fire-getting them when most needed.
