At the first meeting the P. T. A. suggested sponsoring the Boy Scouts with Mr. Crisp as Scoutmaster and Girl Reserves with Miss Morelock as adviser. They cooperated with the school and Homemakers Club in sponsoring a School and Community Fair, a minstrel, went fifty-fifty with the school in buying shrubs to plant around the school building, and helped furnish the community room with tables, curtains, and piano. Through the advertising cooperation of thc P. T. A., two Senior plays, Hers Come: Clmrlie and Tlzc Valley of Glzofir were made successes. All meetings of the Heath High School P. T. A. were held at night, thereby permitting both parents and teachers to attend. The outstanding and best attended P. T. A. program of the year was Dad's Night. P. T. A. 'L HRK' KV. I n.L.'-:LIT EF Sembr Clary fblftory Another class has completed the last of its four years at Heath High School and is ready to make its final departure. This year has been a very profitable one and the seniors have done their part to make it 21 success. The Class of '36, sponsored by Mrs. Swift, made much progress during the first semester. Dairy and Daffy, the first senior play was given in September to start the year off with a bang. The seniors presented two other plays, Here Come: Charlie, directed by Mrs. Leon Smith, co-sponsor, and The Valley of Glzorff, directed by Mr. Crisp. r The seniors have taken part in all of the activities. The successful debate team was composed of Roy Vance, Zack Hill, and Boyce McElya, all of whom are seniors. Ten of the eleven student secretaries were seniors. The music and athletic departments will feel I a deep loss when they organize next fall for some of their most prominent members will be among the missing. The seniors, in the hope of leaving something worthwhile behind, have worked very hard under the leadership of Miss Eloise Ledford to publish this Pirata. s il SENIORS MAKING AN AVERAGE OF B OR HIGHER-FIRST SEMESTER 'ONEDA Ross Roy VANCE FRANCES ANDERSON WILMA DURRETT .IUANITA WARFOIID VERGII, GIPSON HARVINE RAGLAND GRACE -IOINER EMILY MILIIER LAURINE CALDWELL ELIZABETH WEATHERINGTON Page fourteen 1936 v ' .
