Senior Clary 105100 F entered Heath High School as Freshmen in 1931, under the sponsorship of Mr. Holland Lecky. We had only fifty-two members, and were the smallest class in school, fbut far from the quietestlj We felt very important as we elected our first class officers, who were: Victor Smith, President, Wilbur -lacobs, Vice President, and Maggie Gray Kelly, Secretary. The Freshman outing was held at Metropolis Lake near the latter part of school. After gaining a year of experience in this valuable institution of learning, forty-twm of us came back to be dubbed' Silly Sophomoresu. We were very proud of the name' Sophomores until we were informed that it meant wise fooln. Miss Metta Mathis was our sponsor and we chose as class officers: Phil Magruder, President, Ezra Davis, Vice Presi-' dent, and Ida Bell Allen, Secretary. Only thirty-five answered the roll call in our Junior year. We were feeling quite at home by this time and under the sponsorship of Mrs. Margaret Kelly and Miss Rcwena Nlarshall, we began doing things . Our junior play, The llobgobfifl Howe was .1 great success. U Zack Hill filled the important office of president with Ezra Davis, Vice President, and Ida Bell Allen, re-elected Secretary. We entertained the Scniers with an outing at Holl0way's Landing, followed by a picture show. With a roster of thirty of the old faithfulsu, we began ,our last year at Heath. With the dignity prescribed to Seniors, we had a class meeting and chose Mr. B. K. Dowell tu sponsor our Senior activities. We took all privileges allowed us and gave many tntertiining programs and delightful outings. Willard Carneal was President, Iizra Davis, Vice President, Gelah Long, Secretary: Virginia Iglehart, Treasurer, Maydelle Rogers Harris and Lee L. Penn were Stupcft Council representatives. . Maydelle R. Harris, Ruth Mansfield, Alma Seaton, Mary Elizabeth.-,Vance x. re Honor Roll students Who were exempt from the first semester examinatiogs. H . It is the hope of every Senior that as we pass on to higher fields ofAle ?tfl' classes will not necessarily follow in our footsteps, but will profit by otwmi Qi, . ' 'L ov .2 'HT
