Cindy Hiles The Library Club was one of the first clubs to be organized at Heath High School. The club meets the first Tuesday of each month. Its purpose is to enable students to learn library pro- cedures and techniquesg to provide opportunity for vo- cational exploration by practice in library serviceg to popularize reading among all student sg and to enjoy varied group reading expe rie nc e s. Our motto is: READING: A GATEWAY TO KNOWLEDGE. Members answer roll call each time by giving the name of a book they are reading, s e v e r al book talks are given, a library project is accomplished, and some educational games are enjoyed. Occasionally, the ad- visor treats the members. An achievement prize has been established for the outstanding club member of the year. The annual picnic held at I-Ioback Park finished the activities for the year. 64
