The year 1966 was indeed a history-making year. It was the year of a 15 minute space walk by astronaut Ed White. It was a year guided by our President, Lyndon B. Johnson as he led us in The Great Society. His Job Opportunity Pro- gram reached Heath students. Even though We were busy thinking of school and the passing of tests, We were constantly re- minded of Viet Nam and the boys fighting and dy- ing there. . . many fo r me r Heath students were serving their country well. 31
