The Student Advisory Committee serves as a communication link for the students and administration on school concerns. There are three representatives from each grade levelg each ethnic group is represented. This year, as last year, the Stu- dent Advisory Committee organized the HSHP Blood Drive. ',?a9??9 9 sl tt Sfudmf ounci The Student Council has several purposes which are stated in the Student C greater sense of responsibility, to strive for a better student-faculty relationship, to promote unification of the stu- dent body and a better representation of its ideas to the faculty and administration to foster the advancement f , o leadership and loyalty, and to promote the well-being of an individual through school activities. In other words the Student Council is a means by which every student can, through his representative, have a voice in school activities as well as an open channel of communication to the administration. Many activities were sponsored by this year's Council. The year started with a Welcome Back week. The Council later sponsored the Spirit Dance, the school-wide Christmas party, Student Talent Show. The School Store is a pro- ject of the Student Council as is school-wide participation in community service including Christmas stockings, designed and stuffed with donations by the student body presented to elementary school students and Senior Citizensg March of Dimes Telethon, and the presentation of a scholarship to a worthy senior Student Council member. onstutition.
