. I psq Medica! gxpforerd A branch of the Boy Scouts of America, Medical Explorers functions by the main ideas of the Boy Scouts of America. It has, specifically, the objective of assisting students in further exploring various health careers. This club gives the students an opportunity to excel in leadership, physical fitness, and service. Some of the activities sponsored by our club were: The Annual Dallas After Dark, Blood' pressure Screening at the Boy Scout Show, Great Cancer Smokeout, a week-end trip spent at the Soroptomist Camp, a trip to Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio. The officers are President, Michelle Marong Vice President, Cynthia Clarkg Secretary, Chris Grqfinf Treasurer, Lori Grinage. Sponsors are Mrs. D, Saunderx and Mrs. A. King. This is one of HSHP's largest clubs with 125 members. 96

The overall goal of the chapter is to help youth assume their role in society through home economic education in areas of personal growth, family, life, vocational preparation and community involvement.
