Life just gives me time and space — it's up to me to fill it. 23 FEBRUARY 10, 1973 It snowed and Snowed Even in Headland. As we all peered Through our windows It was as if we were Looking into a Fairy tale. Excitement was Bubbling all around. For the first time Ever We threw snowballs and Made snowmen and women. As we turned into Kids Once again. It was a day of MAGIC!! And also a day We will always Remember. 24 If you want to be happy — be. 26 1973 Cagers IN ACTION Keep the ball Rollin' Harry Warren shows his hustle on defense. Two points for In your eyes, Pittman! Rex McNealy. 28 Where’s the ball, Henry? Grover does his thing. Quit pushing, Wyatt! 29 Life is to be fortified by many friendships. To love and to be loved is the greatest happiness of existence. 32 I shall pass through this world but once, any good therefore I can do or any kindness I can show to any human being let me do it now. Let me not defer or neglect it, for I shall not pass this way again. — Rod McKuen 33 Every day we walk through the same doors, sit in the same chairs, and lean against the same lockers. During the year the path never changes; only our direction and destination. Life supplied us with so many activities - Diversions, and decisions - Some thrilling and some disappointing. Everything that occurred to form my Senior Year 1973 Held more than expected. With a whole great world Just around the corner. I wouldn't trade it for anything. It was Steve who had - An unselfish attitude A smile for everyone A pleasing personality A love for life. Those were the traits we admired in him and time cannot erase them from our memory. We the Seniors of 1973 dedicate this portion of our annual to the memory of our friend and classmate, Steve Enfinger, whose untimely death was felt by everyone. 37 38 If through our years of education we have achieved a sense of well being and belonging, learned to be at peace within our world, found our own special place in life, then all the laughter, joy, hurt, and tears were well worth it. We stand ready to face the world alone. 39 EDITOR CO-EDITOR Danita McLain Cindy Solomon 40 La Resume Staff 72-73 Like all journalists. La Resume staff Members were pressured by deadlines. Yet we enjoyed it because it pertained To our life at Headland High. We poured over the proof books Trying to find pictures that were both Funny and sad. Capturing the events of a whole year In Headland High life is both an Educational and a sentimental task. We are always just as excited as the Rest of the students because there Is always an aura of suspense Surrounding the yearbook. 41 HOMECOMING '72 Snakewalk, Bonfire, Pep rally in the gym, A week of decorating floats, A parade in the afternoon.
