Our Candidate Mr. Vincent M. Boyle Twelve years after the Hazle Township School District had built its new high school on Church Street, a gangling youth entered its portals as a freshman. He participated actively in every phase of the curriculum. He excelled in sports. He played football, basketball and baseball. He was a member of the High School Band QThe first organized high school band in the northeastern part of Pennsylvaniaj. He was equally adept in his scholastic work, for after graduating from Hazle Township High School, he entered Albright College from which he matriculated in 1930 with the degree of Bachelor of Science. In 1932 this same youth came back to his Alma Mater as a member of the teaching staff. The following year he became football and basketball coach. In 1952 he was elevated to the vice-principalship. This man is a Tradition. This man is our Class Adviser. This man has climbed the ladder from the bottom to the top. This man is Mr. Vincent Boyle. To you, Mr. Boyle, we, the Class of 1957 of Hazle Township High School, doff our hats in admiration, and out of respect for your many noble qualities and magnificent achievements, we elect you to be the recipient of the highest honor our class can bestow. Mr. Boyle, you have been a counsellor and true friend to us. No greater tribute can we offer in return, than this, the dedication of ANCORA 1957, OUR YEARBOOK.
