As winners of the Olympic division the team was undefeated with 12 wins and 1 tie. They played for the NPSL Championship against Kennedy, again victorious with a score of 5-1. Advancing to the first ever girls State AAA soccer tournament they were faced with 3 games against all the high school's best. The first very competitive game they won 2-1. Our 2nd game they played great winning 5-1. The last game of the year was against Meadowdale for the State Championship. They gave it their best. Losing in Penalty Kicks 3-2 the Hazen High School Girl's Soccer Team finished 2nd in State, a season to be VGW proud offfeam unity efcillent coachirfand excellefpiaying were the keys to this outstanding season.
