YOU'RE RIGHT For the most part Hazen's Junior Var- sity Softball team thought they could and they did . . . We won four ball games, more than any other J.V. Saf- tball team has done at Hazen . . .We grew from the seasons beginning both as individuals and teammates. . .We hit some high times and some lows . . . We sang songs after victories . . . We shook off the losses . . . We realized the importance of success and measured it not in the win-loss column but in our heads and hearts, where it most counts . . . We helped each other out on and off the field . . . The 1982 Softball program did not possess a long string of wins but it had a suc- cessful program in respect to the growth of the individual athlete and the program in general. Any player can be proud in victory but it takes in- ner strength to play to your capacity and maintain a positive attitude in defeat. Thus was one ofthe proudest teams I have had the honor to coach.
