Student Life OI' Alphabetized Atrocities Apathy The New Party Once upon a year, ln a land not far from here, A wise old man formed a political party, And Apathy is what he called this party. No cares is what he promised the folk And the crowd trembled as he spoke, He started, Dearest people of the nation My party will mean world salvation, All you have to dare Is to say that you don't care, And then never again a concern will you share. Then he hit them with his slogan, Be a friend to your fellow man, Never help him, even when you can, Then he exclaimed, Don't get involved, And all your problems will be solved, Don't care ifyour brother lives with famine, Don't reach to fill his plate oftin, Why should you as long as you are living, There's no reason for you to keep on giving.
