Mrs. Madge Swoboda, Hazen fel The Hazen Alumni do not have a regular association but they do, however, get together on Homecoming Day to name an Alumni Correspondent to act on letters of inquiry and matters of Alumni history. For the past two years it has been up to me to gather whatever I could and as years pass a complete and current address list will bring every alumni a semi-annual Alumni Letter. The efforts to make a future service to us Alumni are especially those of the Class of 1949, who des-serve much credit in bringing all former students a school picture and a Passing Parades They are an exceptionally progressive class and will no doubt have a few in our states, Vho's VhoB Eest of luck to all of themS Ronald Keeley, Postmaster, Hazen, N. Dak., class of 1931. Congratulations to the Class of 49 for carrying on in the finest traditions of Hazen High School. May you, like the Forty-Niners of another generation, be successful in your search for nuggets, whether you seek gold, success, or simply happinessB Ferdy Froeschle, Bazen Star, Class of '54. Probably the happiest memories of many Hazenites are of the years spent a3 students of the Hazen High School. It is there too that the youth of Hazen has its first experiences in citizenship, cooperation, school spirit and planning for the future. The class of 49 will be no exception in discovering that their high school is one of the great influences in their lives. The Class of 49 is fortunate in having this book to remind them of the carefree days, the work and study, the school teams, their fine record at Hazen High, and their plans and determinations for the future. Congratulations I Don Brooks, Class of 85. Best of luck to the Annual and to the Class of 49B Bob Chase, Class of '43. Best wishes to the Class of 49 from the Class of 28 and may you have as happy a year as we didS Mrs. Harold Buri, Class of 28. Best of luck and success in the years to comes Fitzgerald Gutknecht, Class of 45. May you look back upon your High School Days as among the happiest in your lifeS Mrs. T. A. Sailer. GOod luck to the graduates in the Class of '49. May you continuously reflect the honor and fellowship acquired during your years at Hazen Highs Leo Geot . My memories of the years spent in the Hazen High School are happy ones, especially in the field of sports. It doesn't seem so long ago either but when one has three children graduates of the same school, its been quite awhile at that. Success to all of the Class of '49S Hubert Stoetllng, Class of 22. Congratulations to the graduation class of 1949. I am confident that if you retain your present enthusiastic spirit toward your school, such enthusiasm will aid in the development of a bigger and better Hazen ugh Schools T. A. Sailer. I cuULl. The young organization is comprised of forty-five musicians. Crowded conditions st school made it necessary for the band to practice in the Evangelical Church. The group has appeared before the Hazen P.T.A. three times to show the community its progress throughout the year. It also appeared publicly at the annual Clean-Dp Day parade and program. The high points of the year were its Darxicipation in the North Branch Music Festival at Zap and a full dress concert given on Sunday, May fifteenth. Mr. Grendahl, director, says, The out look for the continued growth of the organization for next year is very good, for the personnel will be practically intact for 1949-50. In the near future the band will be outfitted with flashy uniforms. Opportunity will also be given to grade pupils who have musical talent to Join next year. immi .......................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................... -r- ,7 . ..V.;.y.
