Map work was an important part of class in the study of geography. We learned of national events, now and past Social studies, which included United States and world history, geography, civics, vocations, and ec- onomics taught us many things about our government and other nations. Through a better understanding of the growth and responsibilities of our govemment, we derived a greater appreciation of the freedom of our democracy. Maps, movies, government pamphlets, school trios, and special guests were only a few of the teaching aids used.
