55555 First Hayward High School was located at A and Soto Streets. .24 !00L info ffze laazif Hayward High School on A and Soto Streets was built in 1902, ten years after the first school classes started in a B Street Grammar school. In 1911 work was started on our present campus, and the building was occupied in 1913, More buildings have been added since 1913 to make our campus second to none in the state. The quonset huts are built on the property once owned by the late Mr, and Mrs. August Rodrigues. They be- queathed their property to Senno Rodrigues, Mrs. Connie Cambra, and Mrs. Evelyn Roderick fHayward High alumnij. Mr. and Mrs. August Rodrigues were the great grandparents of Richard Reiley, a 1962 graduate. Location of present quonset hut.
