FOREWORD Our high school years have come and gone and the Class of ’79 has taken its place in the history of HHS. Mingled with memories of the past is hope for the future. We think of graduation not as an end but as a beginning, a time of going our separate ways to take our places in the world. The Council staff has worked hard this year to compile the memories and good times that HHS has given us. In the years to come, we hope the 1979 Council will bring back all those cherished memories of yesterday. May it always be a reminder of a special friend, an understanding teacher, a big game or a particularly happy day. DEDICA TION MR WILBURN SIMMONS Mr. Simmons is a very active and hardworking member of the high school faculty. All students and fellow faculty mem- bers appreciate his sense of humor and dedication. Because he has worked so faithfully in providing pictures of organizations for the yearbook, has attended almost all sports activities, has helped with preparations for the prom, home- coming, and Christmas floats, and has been faithful in super- vising the junior stand, the staff of the 1979 Council proudly dedicates this yearbook to Mr. Wilburn Simmons. 4
